Using your Mineral Makeup
Remember…..A “little” goes a long way!
Cleanse face thoroughly. Apply moisturizer. Keep in mind that your moisturizer must be completely absorbed BEFORE applying mineral makeup for even distribution.
Step 1 – If you have any troublesome spots such as blemishes, brown spots, red patches etc. apply concealer using a concealer brush. Dab your brush into your problem areas to encourage the mineral concealer to absorb into those areas. If you do not need a concealer skip this step. I do offer different colors of concealer for specific skin problems but our basic concealer works well for almost every condition.
Step 2 – Place a small amount of mineral foundation onto a flat surface. You might use a paper plate or small saucer. When you purchase our larger containers the container lid works quite well. Swirl your KABUKI brush into the mineral foundation until the brush has “grabbed” all your mineral foundation. It may take a couple of times to learn how to properly swirl your brush to keep from poofing your makeup into the air and wasting makeup. Now, using a circular motion apply mineral foundation all over your face. A good KABUKI is a “must’ to have the best possible application of the make-up. You can use a good powder brush but I’ve found the kabuki to work far better.
Step 3 – Place a very small amount of blush onto a flat surface (as in step 2). Using your blush brush swirl your brush into the mineral blush until brush has absorbed all minerals. A good blush brush is important. Apply blush onto cheek in a natural pattern. Typically applying to the “apple” of your cheek works well.
Step 4 – Repeat Step 2 using the Mineral Finish instead of the foundation. Your Mineral Finish is VERY important to finish the look and seal your makeup!
Every individual is different. Our faces are different, our pore sizes, skin tones and textures are all different which makes us very unique. Some may need a bit more foundation to achieve the same effect as another but do NOT get too carried away. Some may wish to mix more than one color to get the “perfect” color. Mineral makeup has many wonderful features but one that interests most women is the ability to even out our beautiful skin while keeping a natural look. You want people to wonder if you’re wearing makeup, not to wear so much that it leaves no doubt.
